Collectable Large folding Map of Ireland.

Interesting large map. An amazing amount of detail, especially of the railways which in 1888 were close to the height of their roll out around the country, and can be seen to reach practically corners of the island.

A well used map, the cover is in very good shape, the map itself has a good degree of browning, but the detail is still sharp and readable. There is full wash colour, and although starting to fade a little now, adds greatly to the appeal of the map. Imprint of M.H.Gill & Son 50, Upper O'Connell St. 1888 and W & AK Johnston, Edinburgh, on bottom margin.

Attractive and important as a record of railway expansion.
