Goldmine Map

(Map) Sketch of the Gold Mine five miles N.W. from Arklow in the County of Wicklow. Published Philos Trans. 1796. Copper plate engraving by Basire. An interesting map. Gold was formerly found in the Croghan Kinshala Mountains and obtained principally from steamworks. 3 roads are shown leading to Arklow the junction of Avonmore & Aghram Rivers affords a picturesque setting. Paper is watermarked, barely legible and not identified.

Interesting little oddity. Would frame up nicely.
