Tipped in

A map or sheet of paper affixed to a larger one (or inserted into a book) by means of small amounts of adhesive at the corners or a long an edge is said to be tipped in.

Tissue guard

Sheet of tissue paper bound (or tipped) into a book to separate the recto of a print or illustration from the adjacent page to prevent or retard offsetting.

Trimmed

A map whose margins have been cut back after printing is said to be trimmed.

Trophy map

Any of a number of famous, important, beautiful and much sought after maps. These are "highlight" maps that often form the nucleus of serious collections.
