Facsimile

The manuscript restoration of missing text or image; a close or exact replica of an original.

Folio

A book consisting of leaves of paper folded once. In maps, it refers to the size of a map, generally about 20 x 25 inches (51 x 64cm). Often stated to describe size, though technically incorrect

Foxing

Brownish (fox-coloured) spots on paper indicating damp-related damage.
