Thank you for dropping in, and welcome to Old Irish Maps and Prints, the first site dedicated exclusively to collectors with an interest in cartographic and printed material relating to Ireland.
It is with great pleasure and pride that we open up our stock of antiquarian items to a worldwide audience to give you the opportunity to appreciate Ireland's long and eventful past through our stock.
From the Birth of Printing to the Birth of a Nation.
Our stock goes back to before the birth of printing in the late 1400's and extends to items that were produced right up until the birth of the nation, and a little further! Depending on significance.
Although we are called oldirishmaps.com, and while we specialise in Irish antiquarian maps, we also carry a variety of maps relating to other regions of the world and just as importantly we also carry a vast selection of antiquarian prints, books, ephemera and manuscripts, relating to all areas.
All the items we sell are original antiques, and are guaranteed as such. If you require a Certificate of Authentication, we would be happy to supply one, but please let us know beforehand, so we can send it with the item.
It is however important to note, that the items on view are only a small proportion of our stock, so if the item that you are looking for is not on display, please contact us. If it's not already in stock we'll do everything we can to find it for you!
If the item in which you are interested is destined for display, please let us know. We are also framers, and we specialise in Conservation Framing. A method of framing using acid free and pH neutral materials to prolong the lifespan and preserve the item. So if you are going to mount and frame your item, we can advise you on best practice, or even carry out the work for you.
